Effective bladder management is crucial, especially for paraplegic patients. Accurate bladder volume assessment by the patient or nurse is challenging, often leading to bladder overfilling, which poses a significant risk for upper urinary tract deterioration. Additionally, frequent catheterization can increase the rate of iatrogenic urinary system infections and can heighten the patient's pain and psychological burden.
